The role of Manager, Financial Planning will encompass all aspects of financial planning and analysis for the Company.  This position will be an integral part of a small Finance team that includes the CFO, Controller, and Financial Analyst.  The multifaceted nature of this role will also require this person to interact heavily with senior executives across all departments, including TV, Digital, Home Entertainment, Business Development, Marketing and more.

Position Title:  Manager, Financial Planning
Location:  Santa Monica, CA
Reporting To:  Controller/VP, Finance

Responsibilities

  • Maintain detailed financial model for the company
  • Assist in preparing budgets and work closely with senior executives to develop financial/sales targets
  • Evaluate the financial merit and structure of potential transactions, initiatives, acquisitions and other projects
  • Lead company valuations and manage relationships with investors, banks, and other outside firms as required
  • Maintain film ultimates
  • Ad hoc analysis as required

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in corporate finance, banking, consulting or any other heavily analytical role with transaction experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related major(s) required; MBA a plus
  • Outstanding Excel modeling skills; must be able to deal with complex models on time sensitive issues
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of GAAP and cash concepts
  • Proactive with proven ability to think creatively and produce innovative solutions to problems
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude, with a strong attention to detail
  • Managerial experience highly desirable
  • Demonstrated aptitude with information systems
