Schedule:

• Available:  June 2013
• Duration of Internship: 1 Semester or 2 Quarters
• Days & Hours:  Flexible: Monday – Friday 9am to 6pm (20-30 hours per week)

Internship Overview:

The Strategy & Business Development team works across the Miramax organization to lead and evaluate major corporate transactions including partnerships and acquisitions. The team supports the growth of the company by developing new ideas and opportunities to pursue.

The group is ideal for candidates who are looking for a fast-paced team environment with a blend of operational focus and strategy.  The Analyst Intern will focus on working across projects to provide analysis and insights.  This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to learn the film business with a cutting-edge media company.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to quickly learn a complex business, including immersing him/herself in the company’s products, and assisting with initiatives which span all major business functions.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with drafting and refining of pitches, memoranda, and other presentations both for presentation to Miramax business unit leaders and (potentially) to external clients/partners
• Support development and refining of financial models and analyses to support business decisions
• Support general strategic and operational initiatives with market research, financial modeling, and strategic analysis

Requirements:

• Must be enrolled in school and able to provide proof of school credit as this is an unpaid internship
• Ideal candidate will be working toward a B.A. or Master’s Degree
• Prior experience in investment banking, consulting or market research preferred
• Superb people skills, strong team-orientation, and a professional attitude
• Ability to work in fast paced environment and entrepreneurial environment with seasoned media executives
• Superb analytical and critical thinking skills
• Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
