Norman Lindsay is a controversial artist whose paintings feature voluptuous nude women. Outraged, the Anglican Bishop of Sydney asks Reverend Campion to visit Lindsay and persuade him to remove the work from his show. Reverend Campion travels to Lindsay’s estate, where he is appalled by the open sensuality. However, the longer Reverend Campion stays with Lindsay, the more he finds himself drawn into the sensuous pleasures of his world.
