The Long Walk Home

When Rosa Parks is arrested for refusing to give up her bus seat for a white man, Dr. Martin Luther King organizes the great Bus Boycott to the decided inconvenience of Miriam Thompson, a well-to-do white woman. Now, Miriam must pick up her maid Odessa Cotter and bring her to work. This stirs up the racist feelings harbored by Miriam’s husband Norman, who joins the Klan-like White Citizen’s Council.
