SANTA MONICA, CA - January 11, 2011 - Miramax today announced the first appointments to its new Management team.  Steve Schoch has been named Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, responsible for finance and accounting, business development, operations and IT.  Krista Wegener has been named Vice President, Head of International Distribution, responsible for licensing of the Miramax library and new releases outside the U.S. via third party distribution partners.  Additionally, Thomas Moreno has been named Senior Vice President, Operations and will also run the company's website,  All three executives will be based at the company's Santa Monica headquarters and the positions are effective immediately.

Schoch, 52, has more than 25 years of corporate finance experience, with companies in a broad group of industries including entertainment, biotech and the Internet.  Prior to joining Miramax, he served as Vice President Global Commercial Operations Financial Planning & Analysis at Amgen.  Before joining Amgen in 2001, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at eToys, in particular spearheading their IPO.  Earlier in his career, he held various financial leadership positions with the Walt Disney Company and Times Mirror Company.  Schoch received his Bachelor's degree from Tufts University, and his MBA from the Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College.

Wegener, 36, was most recently a U.K.-based Senior Vice President of Finance and Operations at Alliance Films.  Prior to joining Alliance in 2005, Wegener spent five years in various international finance roles for Universal Pictures.  She has also held similar positions with Virgin Entertainment and began her career at the Walt Disney Company.  Wegener holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from UCLA, and earned her MBA from the London Business School.

Moreno, 41, most recently ran his own consulting firm, working with leading private equity, venture capital and Internet companies.  Prior to that, he spent 13 years at the Walt Disney Company, where he led strategy and development for the Theme Parks and Resorts business.  Before joining Disney, Moreno was an officer with the United States Air Force, leading development of technology and military intelligence programs.  He is a distinguished graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and received his MBA from the Harvard Business School.
