Lionsgate today announced that Amanda Plummer, the veteran actress perhaps best known for her performance as "Honey Bunny" in Pulp Fiction, has been cast in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Plummer, 55, will star as Wiress, a District 3 tribute who returns to competition for the Quarter Quell -- an event that pits past Hunger Games champions against one another. The character, much like Honey Bunny, is widely regarded as a lunatic among her peers, due in large part to years of violence that have left her emotionally scarred. So erratic is her behavior, in fact, that she eventually earns the nickname "Nuts."
Plummer is the latest actress to join Francis Lawrence's Hunger Games sequel, which last week added Philip Seymour Hoffman to its cast. As Entertainment Weekly reports, Hoffman is slated to star as Plutarch Heavensbee, the devious Head Gamemaker who oversees the 75th annual Hunger Games.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will be released in theaters on November 22nd, 2013. In the meantime, re-live Plummer's most celebrated Pulp Fiction scene below.
