A seven-foot Bruce Lee statue was just unveiled in Los Angeles to commemorate the 40th anniversary of his death and the 75th anniversary of LA’s Chinatown. The statue was created by an artist in Guangzhou, China and is the first of it’s kind in the U.S.
The statue was donated by the Bruce Lee Foundation and isn’t yet permanently installed as business leaders and the Bruce Lee foundation are aiming to raise $150,000 for seating and a concrete base. For more information, visit the Official Bruce Lee site.
Lee was born in San Francisco, CA and moved to LA in the 60′s to work in TV and film. He appeared in several martial arts films including The Big Boss, Fist of Fury, The Way of the Dragon and Game of Death. Watch clips from those films and more in our Bruce Lee Clip Gallery.
