Today we start a new feature on the Miramax blog. You all are probably tired of hearing from me, so over the next 20 days you'll be hearing from a number of people within the Miramax family. Each of these posts will talk about someone's favorite moment from one of the most groundbreaking and important films of the last 20 years - Pulp Fiction.

All of this is leading up to the release of this classic film on Blu-ray for the very first time October 4th - a major milestone for anyone who appreciates great cinema, and for our team, which identified the Blu-ray release of Pulp as an important goal from day one. We're especially pleased that our partner Lionsgate's Blu-ray disc will include many special features and commentary to help enhance the Pulp experience.

This incredible film, directed by Quentin Tarantino and written by Tarantino and Roger Avary, was a breakthrough event almost 20 years ago and continues to be a force in movies today. In fact, you're constantly reminded of Pulp's greatness when you see other films trying to emulate it. I just got back from the Toronto Film Festival and saw this first-hand.

To get the countdown started, one of my favorite scenes is the first one, where the lovebirds, Ringo, aka Pumpkin (Tim Roth) and Yolanda, aka Honey Bunny (Amanda Plummer), are sitting at the diner talking about the ins-and-outs of their joint profession. All is sweet and intimate -- until they both stand-up to rob the place. And then the classic line from Honey Bunny to get everyone's attention (including the audience), fading straight to the hallmark opening song from Dick Dale and his Del-Tones.

Talk about a wake-up call leading into a ride you'll never forget.

Below is a link to that scene. Have fun with our blog and glad you have the chance to get to know the rest of the Miramax Team.
