Producer, Run Run Shaw has passed away at the age of 106. His Hong Kong based Shaw Brothers Studios produced over 1,000 films and his TV empire, Television Broadcasts Limited, helped launch the careers of John Woo, Chow Yun-fat and Wong Kar-wai. He's been an inspiration to countless filmmakers including Quentin Tarantino. "For a year, I'd watch one old Shaw Brothers movie a day - if not three," Tarantino told the Los Angeles Daily News in 2003, discussing his preparation for filming Kill Bill.

In honor of Shaw and the incredible amount of Kung Fu movies he's produced, enjoy clips from our own Martial Arts film collection, including Tarantino's Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2.
