Part One - Inglourious Basterds. Part Two - Django Unchained. Part Three - ?
Quentin Tarantino announced he wants to have a complete set of films to showcase his 're-written' history theme. He's been known to talk about possible sequels before so I'm sure fans will take this lightly until more news develops. In his words, he isn't giving away much information right now.
This [rewritten history theme] begs a trilogy, it begs to have a third movie on this theme. I haven't decided about what yet, but I wouldn't be surprised...
He's once suggested a prequel to Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs, following the Vega Brothers, Vince [John Travolta] and Vic [Michael Madsen]. He's also talked about filming a 20's gangster film and returning to World War II. Most recently he discussed fully developing the cut subplot of Inglourious Basterds into Part Three of the trilogy. This would be a "segue about a group of black soldiers who go AWOL in 1944 after the invasion of Normandy."
I have most of that written. It's ready to go; I just have to write the second half of it ... That would be the third of the trilogy. It would be [connected to] Inglourious Basterds, too, because Inglourious Basterds are in it, but it is about the soldiers. It would be called Killer Crow or something like that...black troops go on an Apache warpath and kill a bunch of white soldiers and white officers on a military base and are just making a warpath to Switzerland.
