Quentin Tarantino and RZA, two of the world's biggest kung fu enthusiasts, have joined forces to produce a new martial arts film called The Man With The Iron Fists. Slated for release later this year, Iron Fists marks RZA's directorial debut, and features a star-studded cast including Russell Crowe, Jamie Chung, and Kill Bill alum Lucy Liu. RZA, the hip-hop artist best known for his role as a founding member of the Wu-Tang Clan, also stars as the eponymous man with iron fists, and co-wrote the screenplay with Eli Roth.

Tarantino, meanwhile, has given the film his personal stamp of approval -- courtesy of a "Quentin Tarantino Presents" pre-roll title card -- and it's not hard to see why. In addition to its Tarantino-friendly subject matter and aesthetic, the film also featuresPam Grier, the legendary lead actress fromJackie Brown. The Pulp Fiction director and RZA have a collaborative history, as well; in 2003, Tarantino enlisted the musician to compose original music for Kill Bill: Vol. 1.
