Sometimes a trailer comes along that we can’t resist sharing, especially when that trailer features Kristin Wiig and Bill Hader and is from a director that guest blogged for us just months before his film premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.

The Skeleton Twins is about siblings Maggie and Milo who both coincidentally cheat death on the same day, prompting them to reunite and confront how their lives went so wrong. As the twins’ reunion reinvigorates them both, they realize that the key to fixing their lives just may lie in fixing their relationship with each other.

Writer/Director Craig Johnson’s feature won the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award at Sundance and Roadside Attractions quickly picked it up. The film will be released Sept. 19 and we think this fantastic trailer is a great indicator that it’s one of the fall’s must-see films. It has a perfect 100% ‘certified fresh’ on Rotten Tomatoes.

Read Johnson’s excellent guest blog post for Miramax here where he talks about the influence of Jane Campion’s The Piano and watch a clip from another favorite Wiig/Hader pairing and Sundance hit, Adventureland.

Check out our entire Guest Blog Series to read up on some of the most exciting voices in film today and be sure to ‘like’ The Skeleton Twins Facebook page to get more info on the release.
