Matt Anderson is the VP of Production & Development in Film & Television at the newly recapitalized Miramax, a
position he assumed in Fall 2017. At his post, Matt oversees the acquisition of scripts, development of new ideas
with writers, packaging of talent into projects as well as physical and creative production. Since joining Miramax he
has stewarded the production of the HALLOWEEN franchise reboot, the Allison Williams thriller THE PERFECTION
and is set to produce Guy Ritchie’s next directorial effort, TOFF GUYS, in London this Fall.

Prior to Miramax, Matt co-produced an independent anthology style horror feature entitled The Mortuary Collection
with new filmmaker Ryan Spindell. Before transitioning to purely creative pursuits, he spent nearly a decade on the
financial side of the entertainment business. He most recently held a long time post in Union Bank’s Entertainment
Finance division where he touched over 100 films, more than 20 television series and was directly responsible for
the production financing of blockbuster films including Matthew Vaughn’s Kingsman: The Secret Service and
Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street, and The Hunger Games film franchise. Other
notable films financed include Peter Berg’s Deepwater Horizon, Jon Chu’s Now You See Me 2, Begin Again, A Walk
Among the Tombstones, and the Brad Pitt starrer Fury. In addition, he also directly financed many television series
including SyFy’s Van Helsing, FX’s Anger Management and a season of Netflix’s Orange is the New Black. He also
provided corporate financing services including M&A capital to production companies such as Lions Gate, Skydance,
STX and many others.

Matt is a native of the San Francisco Bay Area who has a serious love for loud country music and snowboarding. He
holds a MFA from the University of Southern California’s prestigious Peter Stark Producing Program and a B.S. from
Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in Business Administration, with a double concentration in Financial Management and
Accounting along with a Minor in Economics.
