Nasser Al-Khelaïfi is the Group Chairman of beIN MEDIA GROUP, the majority shareholder and parent company of MIRAMAX, and one of the leading independent sports, entertainment and media group operating in 40 countries around the world.

beIN MEDIA GROUP was formed in 2014, where Mr Al-Khelaïfi led the transition of the business from Al Jazeera Sport, creating beIN SPORTS for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. At the time, he was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of beIN MEDIA GROUP and was responsible for beIN’s rapid and successful international growth strategy, which created one of the world’s most successful sports and entertainment brands.

Mr Al-Khelaïfi oversaw the launch of beIN SPORTS MENA, beIN SPORTS France, beIN SPORTS North America, beIN SPORTS Asia-Pacific and beIN SPORTS Australia, while also expanding beIN MENA to include movies, general entertainment, factual and children’s content. In 2016, Mr Al-Khelaïfi led the acquisition of MIRAMAX, which holds one of the richest portfolios and pipelines of international award-winning films, and Digiturk, Türkiye’s largest Pay-TV platform. In 2022, beIN MEDIA GROUP launched the OTT streaming platform, TOD, in MENA and Türkiye.

For its role in corporate social responsibility, beIN provides significant investment in grassroots and professional sports all around the world through its unparalleled sports rights portfolio while also driving original content creation, production and distribution in the entertainment industry.

The growth and success of beIN MEDIA GROUP was a clear demonstration of Mr Al-Khelaïfi’s capabilities and character, as a visionary leader in the media industry.

Alongside Mr. Al-Khelaïfi’s role as Group Chairman of beIN MEDIA GROUP and Chairman of MIRAMAX, he is President of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) Football Club and the Qatar Tennis, Squash, Padel and Badminton Federation (QTF). He is also Chairman of European Football Clubs (EFC), the EFC Foundation, Premier Padel and Qatar Sports Investments (QSI), which holds Sporting Clube de Braga and KAS Eupen in its portfolio.

Elected in April 2021, Mr. Al-Khelaïfi is the Chairman of EFC that represents over 800 leading football clubs across the 55 national associations of Europe. He is the EFC representative on the UEFA Executive Committee, becoming the first leader from Asia to hold a UEFA position, and since October 2025, has represented EFC on the FIFA Council. Since December 2024, he has held the position of Chairman of the EFC Foundation.

Mr Al-Khelaïfi has been widely recognised for his leadership, receiving the Best Club President award from the Golden Boy Awards (Tuttosport) 2025, the Best Executive award from the World Football Summit Awards 2025, and the President of the Year award from the Globe Soccer Awards 2025.
